“We know there’s a lot of interest in that, and it’s something we’ll look at for the future. However, Sunday FrontRunner service is not included in the coming year’s financial plan. The 2016 budget hopes to build on that level of improvement with 100 new bus shelters in the six counties UTA serves. Each stop costs approximately $15,000 to $20,000 each,” said UTA spokesman Remi Barron. “We are working on finishing all stops along Riverdale Road and also Washington Boulevard in South Ogden.
In 2015, about 20 stops along Washington Boulevard received upgrades, and a dozen custom shelters were added to 25th Street. UTA is also installing more bus shelters. For UTA, the gain comes from more riders and more data about when and where people are riding, Benson said. With FAREPAY, a TRAX ride costs $2 rather than $2.50, and bus fare drops to $1.50. The expansions will continue through 2016, and UTA also plans to extend its electronic FAREPAY card promotion that gives riders 20 percent off light rail prices and 40 percent off bus fares.

The agency also increased peak-hour service on express route 455 plus added service on routes 612 and 603 - those downtown Ogden routes now run every 15 minutes on Saturdays.
